Or you're reading the runes and seeing what you want to see.

Like not believing it's your child at fault and must be the other child because your judgement is clouded by prejudice.

Oh and if you don't think that Moyes' comment about Brady's involvement in transfers was not designed to undermine the board/explain the failure to complete deals then you're not reading the runes.

Re: MOYES ON THE TEAM RETURNING, TRANSFER WINDOW
I believe the story that goes Moyes and Newman gave a list of eight players to the board at the end of December/beginning of Jan and that the board, typically, failed to sign any of those targets.

Moyes then reverted to his position of not accepting anyone else put forward by the board (and we all know the calibre of those options).

I believe this for the following reasons; one it is simply inconceivable Moyes didn't want to strengthen this window and two, GSB have a history of failing to deliver and/or signing shit players from their favourite agents (presumably for a kickback).

I also believe that Moyes will have the players totally on board with this viewpoint. The players are not blind and they can see the good Moyes has done and contrast it with the harm that GSB have visited on the club over the years.

I'm not blind to Moyes' failings but they pale into insignificance compared to the serial cuntery of the three arseholes upstairs.

Re: MOYES ON THE TEAM RETURNING, TRANSFER WINDOW
I tend to agree with other comments on here, the no-signing situation may not be down to the owners, it may be down to the pickiness of our manager.

Think about it - a manager of Moyes experience, why would he agree to praise the owners on record - ‘they’ve been fantastic’ - if really they hadn’t been and he’s agreed to ‘cover that up’? No not with his experience I think he would walk.

The situation seems to me he’s been way to picky in only going for, in his eyes, the very top drawer signings, or those not at that level, he doesn’t think good enough for his team. Time will tell if this will bite him fully on the arse.

The vitriol will always be aimed at the owners, but Moyes will culpable too if the wheels start coming off. No cover for Antonio at least was fucking criminal.

If they had 50 million to spend this Jan then no reason why they can’t be added on top of the summer budget which hopefully won’t be including a sale of Rice.

Re: MOYES ON THE TEAM RETURNING, TRANSFER WINDOW
Moyes didn't sign any players because Moyes couldn't get the players that he thought were good enough he wasn't prepared to compromise with anyone that wouldn't immediately improve the first 11.

He's admitted it himself, loads on here said "I'll see what Moyes has to say before I judge"

Now he's said it, he's making it up to appease the fans, you couldn't make this up.

Re: MOYES ON THE TEAM RETURNING, TRANSFER WINDOW
Moyes probably knows had he been at most other clubs in our situation, he'd have bagged one or two serviceable players. Feel deep down he knows this but is probably trying to calm upset fans as he doesn't want any ill feeling going into the run in. Which is understandable but obviously frustrating for us.

I'm for now going to cut him a bit of slack knowing that managers will always want new players to improve the squad but won't always get them for various reasons, in this case the board being tight arse cunts or plain incompetent.

Oneside.
Spot on.
Newcastle would of paid £20m for Diop if not more, that would of covered Dal Cart. 3 better than those point losing muppets would of made us 100% a better squad. Not losing points is the difference

Re: MOYES ON THE TEAM RETURNING, TRANSFER WINDOW
Yes, the Bowen comments were a bit of a surprise, almost trying to justify not getting a striker by saying say we do have back up already?

I did like his comments when he first said them (A while ago!) about only signing players that would improve us, but since then we haven’t really done a lot, Zouma and Vlasic have been the only real signings, the other 2 are loans and both could well be sent back, would like to know who these 3 bids were for? Can see ONE of the Leeds players Raphinha but Not Philips, that didn’t make sense when we have Rice and Soucek.

Still a bit stunned we didn’t get anyone in the January window, but as said yesterday time to move on, just hope the squad has enough in the tank and we get a bit of luck with injury’s or lack of, still plenty to be optimistic about, its just so frustrating seeing players that could have been taken on loan go elsewhere, that said Moyes knows far more than me and so must have his reasons for not even getting a loan or 2 in.

Re: MOYES ON THE TEAM RETURNING, TRANSFER WINDOW
Blagg is spot on, but what he has said has been said already by others. Moyes stance seems to be if we can't get a superstar then no one comes in. It's totally baffling, for one because we as a club are nowhere near that level of thinking yet, and two it's so obvious that we needed cover. How the fuck can he be happy to continue sending on Yarm and Arthur for the rest of the season? I really don't like his Bowen comments either, Bowen is our most effective player right now playing where he is, but Moyes deems it perfectly fine to move him around.

How nauseating, he's hardly going to get the third degree from some arse lick inside the club. The only thing I liked was his commitment to the FA Cup. We haven't always had that with recent managers.

Re: MOYES ON THE TEAM RETURNING, TRANSFER WINDOW
This is not the first time a West Ham manager or favourite Talkshit drunken Jock has been hauled out lauding the board after they have been called out by all and sundry in the media and fanbase.

This is nothing but a PR fluff piece for the owners. We all know what narcissistic little spivs they are

If this was the first time such a board fluff piece had happened I might be more inclined to see merit in Billy Blagg's viewpoint but similar January window antics happened under Allardyce in his last season when we had a chance to kick on, under Bilic when we had the chance to kick on and now under Moyes.

There is only one common denominator to those failed January transfer windows and they are to be found stinking out the board room

Now we had to recruit 2 players to strengthen, when they leave we need 4...
